What Factors Play A Role in Vancouver Back Pain, Arm Pain And Leg Pain?

Your Vancouver chiropractor is always on alert for interesting stories to answer Vancouver back pain patients’ questions. Vancouver back pain patients like easy answers. Your Vancouver chiropractor at Vancouver Spine Care Centre does, too. Check out these factors that guide your relief of Vancouver back pain, arm and leg pain.

Chronic non-specific Vancouver low back pain (LBP) presents a huge socioeconomic problem even though the mechanisms are not yet clear. Impaired motor control is one of the mechanisms which was indicated by a lower movement amplitude of the pelvis, more in-phase coordination, lower ground reaction forces, higher stride-to-stride variability and a higher activity in spine muscles. Impaired motor control during walking is indicated by higher activity of the spine muscles which results in a stiffened lumbar-pelvic region. (1) Dysmobility Syndrome (DMS) (abnormal spine motion) of the musculoskeletal system and adverse health problems in older population is observed. Abnormal spine mobility is affiliated with metabolic syndrome (MetS) (2), and MetS involves a collection of cardiovascular risk factors (insulin resistance, hypertension, glucose intolerance, low HDL-C, and hypertriglyceridemia. (7) DMS and MetS are linked in six domains: increased body fat, reduced muscle mass, lessened muscle strength, osteoporosis, slow gait speed, and balance problems. Notably, insulin resistance was linked to increased body fat, osteoporosis and balance. This study demonstrated a compelling relationship between DMS and the existence of MetS and its factors in the elderly population. (2) Additionally, low high density lipid (HDL) cholesterol and high low density cholesterol/high density lipid cholesterol ratio were significantly associated with low back pain in a middle-aged Japanese population. Vancouver back pain patients are share the same issues! These findings may well support the atherosclerosis-low back pain connection hypothesis. (3) Vancouver Spine Care Centre helps Vancouver chiropractic patients with Vancouver back pain relief and with their desire to fix complicating metabolic issues.

Vancouver Spine Care Centre encourages Vancouver chiropractic patients to exercise even simple walking. A study evaluated the effects of an exercise therapy program on pain and physical dimension of health-related quality of life for 57 young adults of an average age of 21 with musculoskeletal pain. A 9-week stabilization exercise therapy program, used 60 minutes weekly, showed improved pain and disability and intensified spine muscle endurance. This study confirmed that a 9-week progressive exercise therapy program can enhance physical health and decrease the prevalence of cervical disability and low back pain in young adults with musculoskeletal pain. (4) Vancouver Spine Care Centre emphasizes that exercise is helpful!

Vancouver back pain in older folks effectively reduces balance ability. Vancouver Spine Care Centre does not view this as a good event! These patients presented reduced reliance on ankle and hip strategy for balance control causing a discrepancy of postural control from proprioceptive impairment. Also, older patients with low back pain are at higher risk for lower leg proprioceptive decrease and balance ability. (5) Vancouver Spine Care Centre definitely tests Vancouver back pain patients for issues with balance.

Another interesting issue is low hand grip strength in women who are over 50 years with low physical activity was significantly associated with the existence of low back pain. (6) Vancouver Spine Care Centre finds this interesting, but it is documented!
