HEADACHES AND CHIROPRACTIC CARE
Headaches are not unusual! Many
Vancouver headache sufferers get headache relief with
Vancouver chiropractic care. One in 5 new
chiropractic patients come to a chiropractor’s office like
Vancouver Spine Care Centre because of headache. Headache
patients account for a sizeable part
of the chiropractic practice, and that is true for Vancouver Spine Care Centre.
Chiropractors often identify and co-manage
with other healthcare providers. (1) Spinal manipulation therapy (SMT) for
cervicogenic headache is reported to be quite successful.
For the most benefit, a new study found that 18 SMT
visits compared with 1, 6, and 12 visits, is most
effective, lowering cervicogenic headache days by half.
Compared with slight massage, SMT also produced three more cervicogenic headache-free days a month. (2)

TIP OF THE MONTH: Vitamin D for Reduced Migraines
It’s been said
that the inflammation and a diminished immune system may play
a role in migraine headache. The role of nutrients – vitamin D, vitamin B12,
alpha lipoic acid, CoQ10, magnesium, niacin, riboflavin, and riboflavin - in
the supportive care of migraines is said to be therapeutic.
(3) A new study writes that higher
levels of serum Vitamin D (50 to less than 100 ng/mL) lessens
the odds of having a migraine headache by 80% to 83% versus levels below 20 ng/mL. (4) Vancouver migraine
sufferers may try to improve their
Vitamin D status alongside their Vancouver
chiropractic care plan.
